Recruitment Committee
The recruitment committee will be spread across different areas of campus, reaching out to student groups and individuals about UADM. These members will be responsible for developing relationships with different organizations on campus and finding new and innovative ways for organizations to get involved with and support UADM. Special Events Committee Special Events committee will be spending the year planning and executing amazing monthly events such as our kick off event or our slide into DM event. Members will be responsible for developing new and innovative recruitment events and working closely with our event management and corporate partnerships teams to ensure that events are set up successfully. Event planning experience both inside or outside of UADM is a huge plus on this committee, but anyone with big ideas would be welcomed. Alumni/Faculty Relations Committee New to UADM this year, the Alumni/Faculty Relations committee will be working to spread the UADM message outside of our current student body. This committee will be working with UADM alumni, university alumni and alumni groups, and faculty to encourage donations and involvement in our program. Study Abroad Committee A more informal committee, this group will allow those who are missing an extended period of time to still participate in UADM events and fundraising. These members should be passionate about the cause, and they will require flexibility as they work to assist all of the different UADM committees during their one semester on campus. Marketing SectorPublic Relations Committee
Members of this committee are responsible for all of the written content that UADM produces, from tweets to blog posts to press releases. This committee will also be working to further develop the UADM brand and make UADM more visible on campus and in the community. Creative Committee If you have a passion for the Adobe Creative Suite, web design, witty tshirt designs, and visual identity guides, the Creative Team wants you! UADM's Creative Team offers opportunities to fill your portfolio with professional quality work, including co-branded efforts with well-respected organizations such as The Children's Miracle Network and Love's Travel Stops. Insights Committee The Insights Committee aids UADM's leaders in strategically planning our communication and fundraising campaigns by collecting and analyzing data on our presence on social media and beyond. If you have a mind for numbers, strategy or "big picture" thinking, this is the place for you! Media Committee The Media Committee handles all of UADM's photography and video production throughout the year. Media Team members are responsible for documenting our year-long efforts to make miracles from behind the camera. UADM's Media Team offers aspiring shutterbugs the opportunity to do everything from snapping the perfect candid to orchestrating and editing an entire video campaign. Outreach SectorCatering Committee
Under the Catering Committee you will responsible for organizing food related aspects of Dance Marathon, securing food primarily for our main event as well as for any events that we need it for throughout the year. The catering committee will also work with local restaurants to set up spirit nights supporting UADM. Here’s a little insight on what to expect throughout the year: Partnership Committee The Partnership Committee is responsible for corporate outreach. This committee is in charge of presenting a business plan to local businesses and obtaining donations, both monetary and in kind. Ideal applicants should be willing to go out to businesses in the community with determination, purpose and confidence in obtaining donations/sponsorship. Hospital Relations: Family Relations and Volunteer Services Committees The Family Relations Committee will serve as a liaison between Dance Marathon and Children's of Alabama and work to get our Miracle Families involved in and excited for Dance Marathon 2017. When the main event comes around, family relations members serve as the lifeline for their family in the craziness of the day, so developing that relationship with the family throughout the year is imperative. The Volunteer Services Committee will work directly with Children's of Alabama Hospital to organize different activities and events for staff members to attend. High School Relations Committee Within this role, you will be collaborating with high school students to help them plan and organize fundraising events, ultimately working towards the goal of setting up local mini marathons. Additionally, staff members will attend the mini marathons to keep morale high and help develop those programs and leaders. |
Account Management Committee
The Account Management Committee is responsible for handling and tracking incoming and outgoing money for UADM. This committee will be working to develop and implement a budgeting system, and they will come up with a tracking system in order to watch where our different donations and support come from. Fundraising Campaigns Committee This committee will develop new ways to get our campus and community involved in as well as competing in fundraising for the main event. These members will have the opportunity to take a leadership role on planning a campaign, and they will be working closely with our account management team to set fundraising goals and track incoming donations. Miracle Maker Relations Committee This committee will be developing new ways to connect to our Miracle Makers and stress that they are a part of UADM as soon as they sign up, encouraging them to get more involved with our events throughout the year. These members also have the task of developing Miracle Maker incentives for fundraising and participating in UADM events throughout the year. Operations SectorEvent Logistics Committee
From tabling to kickoff to the main event, event management helps coordinate, schedule, and register events with UA staff and offices across campus. The members of this committee also work closely with our Morale team as we plan for our main event. Developing the setup and schedule for the main event and working to make sure that the entire event is planned and will run smoothly is a major role that this committee plays throughout the year. Morale Committee Morale is responsible for planning all activities and games for participants on the day of as well as creating the annual line dance that Miracle Makers learn throughout the 12 hour event. At the main event, Morale ensures that the event runs smoothly and participants enjoy themselves. Entertainment Committee Entertainment committee, or Etain for short, is responsible for music, productions and lighting for the main event as well as helping with music for other events throughout the year. This committee also works to secure student performances for the main event. Membership Development Committee From Miracle Cup points to staff bonding and new member education, this committee’s job is to make sure staff is all on the same page and everyone knows their role to make sure we are growing and raising as much money as possible FTK! This committee holds our members responsible to the time commitment that they made to the organization, but they also work to make sure that it is always a fun and exciting commitment to make! |
